State and local COVID-19 update, Dec. 2

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 338 new cases, 3,795 active cases, 208 hospitalizations and 2,739 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 191,925 cases.

Hill County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases. The state data conflicts with county data listed by the health department Tuesday, which then listed 3 active cases, 3,496 total cases, no hospitalizations listed and 71 deaths.

Blaine County, reported on the state update this morning, had 11 new cases. The state data conflicts with county data listed by the health department Tuesday, but listed 17 active cases in the county. The health department update Tuesday then listed 16 active cases, one active hospitalization, 1,505 total cases as of Tuesday with 28 deaths.

Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill County reports, latest data not available.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Wednesday 4 new cases and no recoveries with 18 active cases and 1 hospitalization. The reservation has had 802 total cases and 12 deaths

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 3 active, 267 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 2 new cases, 6 active, 777 total cases, 8 deaths.
