State and local COVID-19 update, Jan. 4, 2022

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 935 new cases, 3,785 active cases, 137 hospitalizations and 2,911 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 199,455 cases.

Hill County Health Department said in its update Monday that 26 new cases were reported Friday through Monday and 6 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 32 active cases in the county and 3,577 total cases. The county has had 71 deaths.

Blaine County Health Department said in its update Monday that it was notified of 7 new cases and 1 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 9 active cases in the county and 1,548 total cases. The county has had 29 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill county reports, reported Monday 16 new cases and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 21 active cases and 1,231 total cases, no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 10 deaths.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Monday that 5 new cases were confirmed Friday through Monday and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 6 active cases on the reservation, 818 total cases, and no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 13 deaths

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 1 active, 269 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new case, 6 active, 801 total cases, 9 deaths.
