Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a crash after a caller from Third Street reported at 6:41 a.m. Tuesday that a gray Saturn was stopped in the middle of the street.

Officers issued a written or verbal warning after a caller from Third Avenue requested at 7:06 p.m. Tuesday that a man be removed from a property.

After a caller from Second Street reported a red van parked in front of a property, officers arrested James Lawrence Daychild of Havre, 50, on charges of disorderly conduct and assault.

After callers from Sixth Street complained at 2:27 and 2:56 this morning that neighbors' dogs were barking, officers issued written or verbal warnings.

Sheriff's Office

Deputies issued summonses on charges of under-age tobacco possession or consumption, to two 14-year-old and a 17-year-old at a Box Elder school after receiving calls from the school Tuesday at 10:11 a.m., 11:24 a.m. and 13:51 a.m., respectively.

Deputies investigated a report of an assault made from a Box Elder establishment at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday.

After receiving calls from Havre and Joplin, deputies at 8:33 p.m. Tuesday arrested Duane Rowland Richey on chargegs of reckless driving and criminal trespass to property.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Tuesday and one early this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two 1-week-old kittens and one cat all of unknown gender, three female cats, three male cats, one cat of unknown gender and a male 11-month-old kitten. Also, one male 7-week-old kitten was being fostered.

The shelter also held two male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female border collie dog, a female Chihuahua-corgi cross dog, a female mixed-breed 10-month-old puppy, a male 11-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a female mixed-breed dog, a 10-month-old female St. Bernard puppy, a female 9-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a male 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female Rottweiler dog and a female 7-month-old Rottweiler puppy. Also, a male mixed-breed dog, a 21-week-old female mixed=breed puppy and a female 23-week-old Labrador retriever-border collie cross puppy were being held in foster care and a female 6-month-old female mixed-breed puppy was in the shelter.
