Chinook's Mya Berreth digs the ball at the Class C State tournament in Bozeman this past weekend. The Chinook Sugarbeeters had a solid showing in the tournament as they finished fourth.

It was an impressive showing for the Chinook Sugarbeeters' first trip to the Class C state volleyball tournament in seven years.

The Beeters marched all the way to a fourth-place finish at the state tournament Friday night in Bozeman.

After a split on the opening day of the state tourney, Chinook upstaged Northern C champion Belt in a Friday-afternoon loser-out match. Chinook lost twice to Belt at last week's Northern C, but in Bozeman, the Beeters knocked the Huskies out of the tournament, by scores of 24-26, 25-22, 25-16, 16-25 and 15-4, in a wild match.
