Havre Police Department

Two juveniles were issued a written or verbal warning after a caller reported Monday at 1:32 p.m. two children who needed to be removed from Havre-Hill County Library.

Michael Steven Schoening of Havre, 37, was arrested on nine Justice or City court warrants and charges of obstructing a peace officer or other pubic servant and possession of drug paraphernalia after a 3:07 p.m. Monday caller on Second Street reported a suspicious man in the area.

A caller at a First Street West business reported a stolen white and blue Ford pickup truck Monday at 7:25 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated a complaint from Adult Protective Services on Taylor Road at 9:01 a.m. Monday.

A two-vehicle crash involving two commercial vans was reported behind a First Street business Monday at 10:51 a.m.

Elizabeth Helene Schmautz of Box Elder, 50, was arrested on three Justice or City court warrants served at Hill County Detention Center at 9:06 p.m. Monday.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Monday, two accompanying a fire crew to gas calls.

Firefighters responded to three calls Monday. The first two were for a gas smells, one on the 1700 Block of U.S. Highway 2 Northwest at 10:20 a.m. and the other on the 1900 Block of Second Street at 12:10 p.m., with no gas detected at either location. The other call was a fire alarm on the 800 Block of Fourth Street at 1:49 p.m., but no fire was detected and the alarm was reset.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat and one 4-week-old kitten, both of unknown gender, six male cats and six female cats. Another two cats were being held for the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held eight mixed-breed dogs, a male 16-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a male Chihuahua-Pomeranian cross, a 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull terrier, and a male and a female 15-week-old mixed-breed puppies. Additionally, five 7-week-old Australian shepherd puppies, a male mixed-breed dog and a female Australian shepherd dog were being housed off-site.
