Chinook boys take first at District 9C Meet

Big Sandy's Wylee Snapp runs the relay at the District 9C Track Meet at the Havre Middle School Track Wednesday. Snapp was one of several local athletes who had strong starts to the postseason to qualify for next week's Northern C Divisional in Great Falls.
The postseason began in high school track and field with the District 9C Track Meet Wednesday. At the Havre Middle School Track, many athletes from across the Hi-Line competed in the boys meet in order to qualify for the Northern C Divisional.
At the end of the day, the Chinook boys team took first in the meet with 168 total points. As they began the postseason, Chinook head coach Kendall Harwood was happy with how the Sugarbeeters performed.
"They came here and they stepped up," Harwood said. "They really put out some good performances and we're pretty happy with it."
