Local Golf Report: Championships continue in men's and women's golf around Havre

Last week, Prairie Farms Golf Course wrapped up its men's league regular season. On Tuesday night, Tire Rama scored 23 points for high-team honors. Jeremy and Jeff Jensen each shot 36 for low gross, while Ed Boucher was low net with 33.5. Tire Rama won the second half of the Tuesday night standings, while CHS Big Sky was second, Hole 10 was third and Prairie Farms was fourth.

Last Wednesday night saw Parker's BBQ get high team, while Jim Kato shot a 2-under 34 for low gross and Spencer Ross and Chad Eggar were each low net with a 32. Master Sports won the second half of the standings, while LPL Financial was second, Michelob Light was third and Gallery Lounge was fourth.

The playoffs begin tonight with Tire Rama vs. RJS 2, Myers Ranch against HUB, CHS vs. Michelob Ultra, Master Sports taking on Havre Ford, Hole 19 against Oxford Bar, Prairie Farms vs. Gallery Lounge, FBA Ranch against Baltrusch Outfitting and Pasco Ready Mix against LPL Financial.

This past weekend at Prairie Farms also saw the annual Curveball Tournament to support the Havre Youth Baseball and Havre Northstars. It's a great, fun and unique tournament, and thanks to everyone who supports it.

There are still two weeks left in the regular season for the men's league at Beaver Creek Golf Course.

Speaking of both BCGC and Prairie Farms, I want to thank everyone at both courses on behalf of the Blue Pony golf program for helping them put on an awesome Havre Invitational.
