Obituary - Christopher Lance Azure

Christopher Lance Azure, whose given Indian Name is misawaykisik, "Is All Over Sky," 46, passed away November 6, 2023, in Havre, Montana after a lifelong illness of tuberous sclerosis.

His funeral service will be Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. His burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Havre.

Christopher was born October 17, 1977, in Havre, Montana to Alan and Marlene "Kay" (Ironmaker) Azure. Chris was raised and educated in Havre, graduating from Havre High School.

He was always a happy person who loved to joke and tease his friends and family. He liked to wrestle his brothers, play in water and take drives in the car. As long as he had a pop and a window to look out of, he was happy. Chris learned basic sign language in order to communicate with people.

He worked at the Havre Day Activity Center where he had many friends. He performed many jobs at Havre Day and would often be seen watering the plants around town helping to keep the Havre community beautiful. In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to Indian music and singing.

He was preceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Louise (Jeanotte) Azure; uncles Micky, Gerry, Lester, Ronnie and Curtis; aunts Delores Eastman, June, Georgiann and Linda Azure;maternal grandparents, James and Margaret (Windchief) Ironmaker; uncles Johnny and David Ironmaker; one nephew, Jesse James Gardipee.

Christopher is survived by his parents, Alan H. and Marlene Kay (Ironmaker) Azure; sisters ,: Alana (Mike) Jackson, Marcie DeCelles Ironmaker and Camia Edwards; brothers, Darrell D. Gardipee Jr. and Clayton Gardipee Sr .; aunts Jacalyn and Ona Ironmaker; uncles Lonnie (Linda) Azure, Robert (Loretta) Ironmaker Sr., James (Monica) Ironmaker and Lewis Ironmaker; numerous nieces and nephews.

Christopher was a friend to many people; he is loved and will be missed.
