Art Alley Spring Celebration set for Saturday in downtown Havre

Press release

The Hi-Line Arts Council has announced the organization’s annual “Art Alley Spring Celebration” event, scheduled for Saturday, May 11,h from 3-7 p.m. to 7 p.m

The event, as in past years, will highlight the role of art in Havre and on the Hi-Line and will be a festive, family-friendly celebration in downtown Havre. The Art Alley is located between Second and Third Streets and Third and Fourth Avenues. The east entrance of the alley begins between Helmbrecht Studio and Crawford Distillery. The Havre City Council has approved the closure of Fourth Avenue between Second and Third Streets, in addition to the alley.

“This outdoor event is the perfect way to celebrate warmer weather, the coming of spring and to showcase Havre’s Art Alley, designed as a location to display area artwork and as a focal point for current and future downtown activities,” said Grant Olson, chair of the Hi-Line Arts Council. “We have had great success with this event in the past and are building on that tradition this year. The event is free of charge thanks to the generous sponsorship of Tilleman Motors and Independence Bank.”

The event will include live music, kids activities, food trucks and art exhibits. Bands that will perform include the Lucky Valentines from Fort Benton and local performers Corey Kopp and Matt Springer, Blink Luck and Michael Bober. Beverages will be available for purchase.

“The Art Alley Spring Celebration will be a wonderful time to come together as a community, kick up your heels and enjoy the incredible artistic talent we have here in northern Montana,” Olson said. “Bring the kids, the grandkids and soak in the hospitality that our community is known for.”
