Maze Zerbe completes medical residency

Will begin practice as a family medicine doctor in July

Dr. Sarah Maze Zerbe, daughter of Tim and Meg Maze of Ranchester, WY, granddaughter of Norman and Margaret Maze of Havre and Lt. Col. Richard and Marguerite LaVigne of Ogdensburg, New York, and niece of Lucinda Maze of Havre has completed her Residancy in Family Medicine through the University of Washington Medical School.

Maze Zerbe is a 2013 graduate of Tongue River High School in Dayton Wy, a 2017 graduate of the University of Wyoming and a 2021 graduate of the University of Washington Medical School. Maze Zerbe was the Spitilari Outstanding Female Graduate of the University of Wyoming and the Outstanding Resident of her Family Medicine Residency Cohort through the WWAMI program at Saint Luke's Hospital in Boise, Idaho.

Four years of undergraduate school at University of Wyoming, four more years of medical school at the University of Washington and three years of family medicine residency in Boise completes her path to being a fully licensed physician. She passed her final medical board exam April 19, 2024. In addition to working in school, Maze Zerbe served field experiences in rural medicine in Honduras with the organization Shoulder to Shoulder and in remote areas of Nepal helping local women with gestational diabetes during their pregnancies.

During the COVID pandemic, Maze Zerbe helped vaccinate rural migratory workers in Idaho.

Maze Zerbe will begin practicing as a family medicine doctor in Lander, Wyoming, in July.
