Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Jacob Miller, Havre Boys Swimming

It was a big weekend in the pool for the Havre Blue Ponies, and it was big for HHS’ Jacob Miller. The Pony newcomer won the grueling 400-meter freestyle at Saturday’s Havre Invitational with a time of 5:03.77. It was Miller’s first win of his HHS career, while he also went on to place fourth in the 100 backstroke. Miller’s big day also helped the Pony boys win the team title at the meet, which included Whitefish, Hardin and Columbia Falls.

Kailee Henry, Harlem Girls Basketball

The Harlem girls exploded this weekend, winning by 30 points over rival Rocky Boy and also knocking off another District 1B rival in Cut Bank. And Kailee Henry had plenty to do with the success. Henry poured in a game-high 26 points in the win over Rocky Boy Friday night, and she followed that up with 13 more against Cut Bank. Henry’s big night against the Morning Stars also included knocking in three 3-pointers as Harlem moved up the standings in the process.
