Time to spring forward

It's time once again to spring forward to daylight-saving time.

For most of the nation, the official change occurs at 2 a.m. Sunday, although most probably will change their clocks before hitting the sack Saturday night.

Folks who forget will be an hour late for church, work or other events Sunday.

Daylight-saving time lasts until Oct. 27.

Safety officials suggest the annual ritual also is a good time to change batteries in smoke detectors to ensure they will work if needed.
