JOSETTE MITCHELL, Obituary

ROCKY BOY Josette M. Mitchell, 32, a Chippewa Cree native American, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at a Great Falls hospital of a massive stroke.

Her wake began Sunday at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church, with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial to follow at Rocky Boy Cemetery. Fellowship to follow the burial at Rocky Boy Catholic Church.

Josette was born on April 16, 1970, to Robert and Emma (Saddler) Mitchell at Havre. She was educated at the Rocky Boy Elementary School and attended Box Elder High School. Josette was employed at Past Time Convenience Store in Rocky Boy as a clerk for 6 years. She attended the Northern Montana Hospital certified nurses assistant training. Upon completion of her training she was employed by Rocky Boy, in home health care, for eight years as a certified nurses assistant.

Her hobbies included fishing with her nephews. She enjoyed spending quality time with her nieces and nephews. Her caring nature invited a special love and affection from her mother, father, and the rest of her family. She was a member of the Rocky Boy Catholic Church.

Survivors include her father, Robert Mitchell of Rocky Boy; mother, Emma (Saddler) Mitchell of Rocky Boy; brothers, Jeffrey Four Souls of Rocky Boy, Grant Saddler of Rocky Boy, James Mitchell of Rocky Boy; sisters, Candice Carter of Rocky Boy and Rosa Jarvey of Great Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
