DOROTHY SIVERTSEN, Obituary

MURRAY, Utah Dorothy M. (Pruys) Sivertsen, 63, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Murray, Utah, of cancer. Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Havre at 11 a.m. on Tuesday followed by a reception at the Eagles Hall in Havre.

Dorothy was born in Havre on April 1, 1938, to Herman H. and Christine Pruys. She attended Cottonwood School at Cottonwood and graduated from Havre Central High School in 1957.

Dorothy married Richard Crites in Havre in 1962. They divorced in 1974. She married Raymond Sivertsen in Havre in 1976. They divorced in 1993.

Dorothy worked for the Hill County Electric/Triangle Telephone as a customer service representative in March of 1960. She was promoted to credit manager and manager secretary. She retired on Oct. 15, 1993.

Dorothy was active with the Havre Eagles Club, which she joined in 1973. She was on the drill team, both ladies and mixed. She was secretary of Havre Eagles Auxiliary for a time and was state Eagles Auxiliary treasurer from 1987 to 2001.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Herman H. and Christine Pruys; and a sister, Angeline Fitz of Murray, Utah.

Survivors include her brothers, Joe G. Pruys of Cottonwood and Herman R. "JR" Pruys and his wife, Joyce, of Havre; sister, Anna Berg and her husband, Ray, of Havre; brother-in-law, Mike Fitz of Murray, Utah; several nieces and nephews; a special friend and caregiver, Gary Howick of Murray, Utah; stepson and stepdaughter, Clarence and Lorie Sivertsen and their six children of Belt.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
