Northern Lights sign guard

Zach McLean, a 5-foot-10 guard from Whitehall, has signed with the Montana State University-Northern Lights men's basketball team.

McLean transferred from the University of Montana-Western, where he played JV his first year and red-shirted last season.

At Whitehall High School, he averaged 19 points and five assists per game as a senior, winning all-conference honors.

"Zach is capable of playing both the point guard and shooting guard, which makes him a valuable asset," head coach Shawn Huse said. "He is a hard worker, a good student and, most importantly, a good person."

McLean plans to major in business technology.
