Havre Police Department

A written or verbal warning was issued after a Monday 7:56 a.m. caller reported seeing a man enter an abandoned First Street business building through the north entrance.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a Curve Drive caller asked Monday at 8:41 a.m. to speak with the chief of police about the caller's neighbors and their barking dogs.

John Michael Segna of Havre, 33, was arrested on a trespass to property charge after a trespasser was reported at a First Street business at 8:47 a.m. Monday.

--

A caller asked Monday at 8:58 a.m. for officers to perform a welfare check on a family member on Third Avenue. The person was fine and said they would contact their family.

Jerimi Thomas Rutherford of Harlem, 35, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after officers were asked at 10:33 a.m. Monday to assist at City Court on Fourth Street.

Officers provided traffic control for a tow truck on Eighth Street Monday at 12:08 p.m.

A hit and run crash was reported at 12:58 p.m. Monday at a parking lot on 13th Street West. No investigation was opened.

A caller reported finding lost property on Third Street Monday at 2:16 p.m.

Officers were asked at 7 p.m. Monday to assist deputies in the Havre area.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a Monday 7:48 p.m. caller at a First Street establishment reported a woman smoking drugs in the bathroom.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported on First Street Southeast in Box Elder Monday at 9:05 a.m.

Marva Lynn Stump of Havre, 55, was issued a summons on charges of dog running at large and nuisance animal after a 10:20 a.m. Monday caller on Washington Avenue reported two more of the caller's chickens were killed.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to four calls Monday, and firefighters responded to a report of a gas odor on the 200 Block of First Street at 12:57 p.m., but no gas was detected.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the animal shelter held one cat and five kittens all of unknown gender, three male cats, four female cats and two 22-week-old kittens, one male and one female.

Also this morning, the animal shelter held eight mixed-breed puppies between 5 weeks and 6 months old, four female dogs and two male dogs. Additionally, five 6-week-old puppies were being housed off-site.
