MARJORIE BREWER obituary

CHINOOK - Marjorie L. Brewer, 72, longtime Zurich Park caretaker, died Monday, March 8, 2004, at a Havre hospital due to natural causes.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow services and the ashes will be buried in Kuper

Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Marge was born on May 23, 1931 in Yellow Grass, Sask., Canada. She attended school there and worked for the Community Pasture in Stoughton, Saskatchewan.

She married Jim Brewer on Jan. 8, 1958, in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. The family lived in Malta, went to the state of Kansas for a short time, returned to the Wagner area, and moved to Zurich in 1968. Marge became the Zurich Park caretaker in 1974. She retired in September 2002.

Marge's hobbies included gardening, embroidering, ceramics, crossword puzzles and hooking rugs. Her favorite television program was Wheel of Fortune.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Brewer on February 9, 2004, and one granddaughter.

Survivors include her daughters, Roxanne Brewer and Jean Kokkeler Chinook and Teresa Rimkus of Vaughn; sons, Jim Brewer III of Zurich, Joe Brewer of Springlake, N.C.; sister, Maxine Nast of Weyburn, Saskatchewan; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
