VIRGINIA, Ill. - Linda R. Johnson, 67, of Virginia, Ill., and formerly of Turner, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at a Springfield, Ill., medical center.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Virginia with the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. A committal
service will be held 2
p.m. Saturday at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana, Ill. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Massie-Buchanan Funeral Home in Virginia.
She was born on Dec. 27, 1936, in rural Topeka, Ill., to Floyd and Alma Fisk LeSourd.
She married Otis B. Johnson on Nov. 22, 1956, in Havana, Ill., and he preceded in death on Oct. 9, 1999.
She graduated from Manito Forman High School in Mason County, Ill.
She was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Virginia and served as a volunteer at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia. She enjoyed corresponding with and offering encouragement to her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Survivors include her daughter, Esther (Mike) Thomas of Virginia; sons, Paul (Jill) Johnson of LaPorte, Texas, James (Debby) Johnson of Morehead, Ky., and Philip (Kathy) Johnson of Towson, Md .; and 10 grandchildren.
