Hometown Heroes

U.S. Army Spc. Angela Duran with the 889th Quartermaster Company from Great Falls is nearing the end of her tour of duty in Iraq and will return with her unit to Fort Lewis near Tacoma, Wash., in April, according to her mother.

Angela Duran is a 1991 graduate of Box Elder High School and a 2003 graduate of Montana State University-Northern. She is the mother of Tavoris and Elias, and is the daughter of Manuel Sr. and Linda Duran. She is the granddaughter of the late Edward William Winchell of Havre and Ruth Brisbo Winchell of Billings, and the late Leo and Elizabeth Duran of Rocky Boy.
