YABA sign-ups scheduled for Oct. 10; Jackpot Bowling every Saturday

"Bowler - Any person who at any time rolled a bowling ball and had an excuse for why it didn't go where it was supposed to go!"

Jackpot bowling is held Saturday nights at 8. Reservations may be made by calling the lanes at 265-5885.

YABA registration will be held on Oct. 10, from 2-4 p.m. at the lanes. If possible, please furnish proof of date of birth. The leagues are scheduled to begin the week of the 24th.

Gary Berg will continue his role as president of the organization. Joanne Antley was elected VP, I will be doing the WinLabs work and Chris Drew, along with being voted a director, will be doing the weekly league's secretary work. The directors elected for two-year terms are: Christy Holden, Dorothy Anderson, Ann McKnight, Deanna Berg, Ron Surber, and Gary Hillson.

All parents of YABA members and anyone interested in helping the organization should contact one of the above. It is hoped that a coaches clinic will be held. Anyone interested should contact an officer or director.

Happy birthday Inetia Cantin and Amy Preite! Sandy Cartwright gains one Friday and Penny Williams on the 5th.

Sandy Cartwright picked the 5-10; Apple Brown a 5-6 and 9-10; and this one a 2-6 and a 4-10.

Christy Holden had the hot hand last week recording a 235, 600 and 224, 591. Lisa Morrell shot a 586; Julie Holt 219, 551; Barb McLeod a 530; and Kristi Kline a 531.

Roy had the high game of 242 and Ron Turner and Shawn Mariani the series of 636s. Roy had a 606; Ron a 236; and Shawn a 231. Ken Riska hit a 238, 627; Ed Boucher 234, 627; Mel Erickson and Jay Burrington 230s; Troy Azure 231; Chris Pappas 233; Art 624; Randy Randolph 609; and Mike Hamilton a 621 and 616.

The high 4-game of 850 belonged to Ed Boucher. Shawn Mariani had an 814; Brett Antley 802; and Ryan Mapes 815.

We will be missing a few names this year. Seth and Somer Ingram have moved to Glasgow and are now the proud parents of a baby boy. "Grandpa" Buck will have to look elsewhere for his yearly high average wager. (Maybe they'll do it long distance!) We wish Seth and Somer the best, but "miss you." The high scoring of Cal Edmison will also be missed this season, but I know there are others who will "awe" us with their scores.
