The Domestic Abuse Program held its Second Annual Spaghetti Dinner Oct. 15 for Domestic Abuse Awareness Month.
This year we honored the men, women and children in Montana who have lost their lives due to domestic violence.
Since 2000 there have been 64 adult fatalities and seven child fatalities.
To honor these victims we provided a form of the "Silent Witness" display. We also had on display our "Clothesline Project" which people could view.
The Domestic Abuse Program would like to thank the city of Havre for its generosity; this support is vital to our program and the ability to continue services.
Thank you, Catholic Daughters and Audree Kilbey for all of the wonderful desserts.
Thank you Gary & Leo's Fresh Foods and Walmart for donating funds to purchase supplies for our dinner.
Thank you PJs Restaurant and Murphy's Irish Pub for the salads and dressings.
Thank you Grateful Bread for the French bread to go with our spaghetti.
Thank you Havre Eagles Club for the use of your facilities and the monetary donation to help serve our clients.
Thank you Havre Laundry for providing the towels
Thank you CBM Catering and Tim Van Wenchel for your donation and help. Thank you Gary Peterson for all your hard work in helping us set up, take down and work the dinner.
Thank you Buck Christofferson for your help during the dinner.
Last but not least, thank you Bonnie Bennett for the help in cleaning up for the second year. The dinner was a great success and the funds will go toward supplies, maintenance and upkeep of our shelter.
Thank you from the Domestic Abuse Program.
