Mary 'Louise' Anderson
Mary "Louise" Anderson, 82, of Great Falls, a retired accounts payable clerk at Buttrey's, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012, of natural causes, at a local care facility.
A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, Friday, July 6, at 2 p. m. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Mary Louise was born on May 17, 1930, in Great Falls, Mont., to Thomas and Mary Rickard. She was raised in Burlingame and attended Great Falls High School. She met James R. Anderson and married him in 1948. She had an extensive employment history starting at Woolworth's as a sales clerk, National Laundry and finished her career as an accounts payable clerk for Buttrey's.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and West Side Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She also volunteered at Scottish Rite Speech Clinic and was chairman of the Great Falls Nile Style Show.
She loved playing the piano, crocheting, RVing with Good Sam's, camping with her grandchildren, singing, going south for the winter, teaching her grandchildren games and having fun.
She is survived by her sons, Jack (Barbara) Anderson of Havre, Mont., Dan (Teddie) Anderson of Great Falls and Robert (Kathy) Anderson of Havre; six grandchildren, Carmen (Daniel) Ferguson, Jacquelyn (Rick) Hentschel, Jeremy (Kristen) Anderson, Scott (Sarah) Anderson, Erin and Eric Urango; and seven great-grandchildren, Jordan, Andrea and Mollie Ferguson, Kevin and Tanner Hentschel and Finley and Maddox Anderson.
She was preceded in death by parents, Tom and Mary Rickard; brother, William "Billy" Rickard; and sister, Loretta Lake.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Scottish Rite, 1304 13th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405 or Shrine Hospital Children's Transportation Fund, PO Box 2361, Great Falls, MT 59403.
