Dorothy was born March 20, 1920, in Havre, to Hazel (Hunter) Nelson and Victor Nelson. She grew up north of Havre, where she met Pete Woronik. They were married on Aug. 17, 1940. To this union four children and a lifetime of work were born.

She loved music, cooking and gardening and was very content caring for her chickens, her sheep and her kitties. She always had cookies in the cookie jar and ice cream in the freezer, and if you were fortunate enough to stop by, you were always welcome to a delicious home-cooked meal. For many years, she cooked for hired hands, custom cutters and her family. Hard work was a way of life, but she always made time for special friends and family. She was a 4-H leader, a member of the St. Joe Ladies Club, a member of the North Havre Community Group and the Eagles Auxiliary.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Pete in 1977; her brothers, Frank, Robert, Roy, John and Melvin; her two daughters, Dorothy Ann Chamberlain in 1979 and Carolyn Murphy in 2002.

She is survived by her sister, Minnie Simko of Havre; her daughter, Patricia Childs of Havre; and son, Peter (Amy) Woronik Jr., of Lohman; her grandchildren, Donald Chamberlain of California, Pam (Dan) Murphy of Chinook, Gerald Wood of Oregon, Tim (April) Murphy and Reece Murphy of Missoula, Clayton Woronik of Lohman, Sandra (Mike) Friede, Curt (Carol) Wood, Tiffany (Chad) Olsen, Todd (Mona) Woronik, Angela Moffitt, Tamara Woronik and Nathan (Ericka Keeler) all of Havre; and numerous great- and great-great grandchildren.

She will be truly missed by family and friends.
