Marjorie "Winnie" Daniels, 77, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at her home in Alliance, Neb., with her family by her side.

She was born Oct. 10, 1934 in Bishop's Stortford, England, to Cecil and Elsie (Joy) Byford.

She met Duane Daniels in 1957, while he was stationed in England with the U. S. Army. In 1960 she immigrated to the United States.

She and Duane were united in marriage on March 1, 1961, in Livingston, Mont. They lived in Montana, where Winnie worked on a dude ranch and held a banking position before she began working for the railroad in 1965. The family moved to Alliance in 1979 a...
