Sydalia "Sadie" DeMontiney, 17, of Rocky Boy, died Sunday afternoon at her residence in Rocky Boy. Her cause of death is due to her injuries she received in her accident Aug. 28, 2011. Her Indian name is Mo-mos-chi-Ke-o Kah-mi-K, - is-Kwe – w, which means Ceremonial Lodge Woman

Her wake service will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, and will continue until her funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rocky Boy. Her burial will follow at DeMontiney Family Cemetery. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Sadie was born Aug. 26, 1994, to Ted and Roxanne DeMontiney in Havre, Mont. She was raised and educated in Rocky Boy. She attended school in White Swan, Wash., and also attended Great Falls School of Technology. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved her music and writing poems.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Raymond and Dora Helgeson; grandparents, Walter "Moose" Denny and Elizabeth (Sutherland) Denny and Bonita and Doug Olney. Also her special aunt. Sharon Patacsil and godparent, Peggy (Margaret) Nagel

Sadie is survived by her parents, Ted and Roxanne DeMontiney of Rocky Boy, Mont .; grandparents: John (Theo) DeMontiney of Albuquerque, N.M., and Maxine Denny of Rocky Boy, Mont;, her brothers, Joscayne, Dawson and MaKray, all of Rocky Boy; sisters, Sequoia and Armani of Rocky Boy; nephews, Joscayne Jr, and Baby Dawson Jr., and nieces: Ashlynn, Kaydence and Ariana, all of Rocky Boy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in general who loved her.
