Alex Weasel Boy

Alex Weasel Boy, 84, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at his home in Rocky Boy, after battling cancer. His wake service will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, with his funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday at Rocky Boy Catholic Church, with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Alex Weasel Boy

Alex was born March 5, 1928, in Rocky Boy, Mont., to George and Lucy (Small) Weasel Boy. He was raised and educated in Rocky Boy. He enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1946 and was honorably discharged in 1948. He returned home to Rocky Boy and began working for the Bureau of Indian Affairs as a police officer. He then decided to establish his own construction company, which he operated for the rest of his life.

Alex enjoyed living in Rocky Boy and was a hard worker. He believed in completing things correctly the first time so you didn't have to do it again. He was a faithful man, and believed in the Chippewa Cree traditions. He attended many ceremonial and cultural events. Alex enjoyed his family, and in later years really enjoyed his great-grandchildren. He liked to fish and loved to eat any fish that people caught.

He was preceded in death by his parents

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Aloiau of Hawaii, and his nephew , Gerald Four Colors, Sr. and his sister, Eliza Small, both of Rocky Boy.
