Highway Patrol: Alcohol was a factor in fatal weekend crash

A car crash this weekend killed one man and hospitalized two teenage girls.

Adrian Potts, a 16-year-old girl, was driving an SUV north on Parker Canyon Road around 2 a. m. Saturday with two passengers, 22-year-old Jesse James Morsette and 15-year-old Larissa Moosoiman.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol crash report, the vehicle veered off the road and took down three mailboxes before straightening out, right before a curve in the road.

The vehicle went off the left side, and the driver swung to the right and then back to the left, rotating the car, losing control and smashing through the frozen surface of a creek.

Officers found the vehicle nose down in the ice.

The two girls were taken to Northern Montana Hospital, where they remain this morning, in good condition.

Morsette was pronounced dead on the scene.

The report says that alcohol was a factor in the incident.
