Breaking Sports: Chinook girls take fourth at Northern C

The Chinook girls basketball team had a tough night offensively, but the Sugarbeeters still gave the Winnett-Grass Range Rams all they could handle in the Northern C consolation game. Saturday night in Great Falls, the Rams ended Chinook's season with 40-25 win. Makhayla Famer paced the Beeters with 14 points.Chinook played almost thew entire Northern C tourney without leading scorer Taryn Norby.

Earlier on Saturday, Chinook knocked off Hi-Line rival Chester/J-I in a thriller, 40-39 in a loser-out game. Haley Swank scored 11 points for the Beeters, who ended C/J-I's season. The Hawks went 21-4 on the year, with three of those losses coming at the hands of Chinook.
