Short power outage hits Havre area

A NorthWestern Energy representative said a tripped breaker cut power to 1,600 customers in the Havre area this morning, but only for a quarter-of-an-hour.

The power went out about 10:20 a.m., affecting southwestern and western Havre.

People reported to the Havre Daily News that the outage included Highland Park and businesses including Kmart and Walmart.

NorthWestern representative Butch Larcombe said the breaker at the substation was quickly repaired and power was restored in about 15 minutes.
