Pedestrian killed near Harlem

The Montana Highway Patrol reported that a Hays woman was killed on U.S. Highway 2 near Harlem at 11:39 p.m. Tuesday when she was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado while she was walking in a traffic lane.

The Highway Patrol said that the 50-year-old woman, whose name had not been released this morning, was standing in the eastbound traffic lane when the eastbound Silverado struck her then continued on to the Fort Belknap Police Department.

The woman came to rest in the westbound traffic lane and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Highway Patrol reports.
