Havre Police Department

After a caller at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday reported a small dog being on a short leash with no room to move around and no access to water, an officer took a dog to the city animal shelter.

An officer investigated a no-injury crash betwen a Jeep Wrangler and a Ford pickup truck reported from 2nd Street at 10:59 a.m. Tuesday.

After a caller reported a puppy being in a 3rd Avenue Casino at 5:51 p.m. Tuesday, an officer took the dog to the animal shelter.

An officer investigated a report made at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday that a driver had backed her car into another vehicle at Havre High School.

After a caller reported a vehicle was running in the alley of a 1st Street establishment at 6:59 p.m. Tuesday, a vehicle was towed away.

An officer investigated a report of a hit-and-run crash made at 9:49 p.m. Tuesday from 11th Street.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

A deputy investigated a report made from the 3500 Block of U.S. Highway 2 West at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday that two women were fighting in front of the building’s main entrance.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Tuesday.

Firefighters responded to a call at 10: 39 p.m. Tuesday reporting an odor of natural gas at a residence on the 400 Block of 2nd Street. The odor was caused by a pilot light of a stove going out. The firefighters evacuated the building and NorthWestern Energy employees responded and lit the pilot light.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held a male, black and white husky; a male, gray cat; a female, calico cat; a male, brown, black and white mixed-breed husky; a male tan mixed-breed dog; and a female, black and white pit bull puppy.

Births

A girl was born Jan. 16, 2015, to Alexandra Seigle and James Lowrance of Havre.
