Letter to the Editor:

Lights, Skylights, the Bible top psychics

Editor:

Paranormal activity? Psychic/medium sense? Thomas Edison’s Telephone to the Dead? Tarot card readings? Ghost investigations? Most of us would probably say that is “out there.”  Most of us would probably say this could be a gathering in California or New York City.

Lo and behold, our naiveté is exposed. In Monday’s Havre Daily News MSU-Northern announces they have invited Christopher Moon and his mother, Paulette, to engage in all of the activities listed above. Also, this event is free. Well … not really. Attendance is free but Montana State University-Northern is spending $4,000 to enlighten us all. Whether it is paid from the general funds of MSU Northern or student activity fees … really.

Forgotten in all this is the spiritual component, you may think it is innocent fun … but these activities are not of God. Thomas Edison’s Telephone to the Dead? I don’t think so, but I do have a number you can call upon. Jeremiah 33:3 reads “call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

For entertainment and good clean fun, I think I’ll continue to watch the Lights and Skylights. I know I’m going to continue to read God’s Word, the Bible.

God bless you,

Ed Matter

I wonder why the powers that be would spend that kind of money on something like that and STILL not have acceptable wheelchair access to the gymnasium? Thanks for the post Ed. God bless.
