Beeters win at Signal Point

The Chinook golf team is off to a strong start this season, and it continued Monday.

The Chinook boys won the Belt Invitational at Signal Point Golf Club Monday in Fort Benton Chinook scored a 252 and had four players in the top 10 at the end of the 18-hole tournament.

Lane Seymour led the way with a 79, while Kade Friede was fourth with an 84. Derek Bell finished seventh with an 89, while Ian McIntosh was eighth with a 91.

On the girls side, Chinook's Jordan Surber finished seventh with a 128.

The Sugarbeeter golf teams will be back on the Fort Benton course Friday, as well as heading to Malta for a meet Saturday.
