Local Summer Sports Camps

Lights Football Camp

New MSU-Northern head football coach Aaron Christensen will be holding a three-day youth camp June 8-10. The camp is open to grades K-8 and will run from 9 to 11 a.m. each day at the MSU-N practice fields. The camp is a noncontact camp and campers will receive a T-shirt. Cost for the camp is $60. Bear Paw Wrestling Camp

Once again, Havre High head wrestling coach Scott Filius is hosting his annual Bear Paw Youth Wrestling Camp. The camp is held at Camp Kiwanis and will run July 8-11. The camp is open to grapplers ages 10-18 at a cost of $215. All meals are provided, while campers need to bring sleeping bag, pillow, work-out gear for four days, hiking shoes, fishing pole, sunscreen, towel and toiletries. Skylight Basketball Camps

MSU-Northern will be hosting four basketball camps throughout the month of June. Camps will be directed by women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat and assisted by current and former Skylight players. All four camps will be held in the Armory Gymnasium on the campus of MSU-Northern. The Skylight Individual Skill Development Camp will take place June 6-7 and is open to grades 7-12. Cost of the camp is $150 with dorm and all meals, $125 for day campers with meals, and $100 for day campers with no meals. The Skylight Youth Camp is open to girls entering kindergarten through grade five and will take place June 8-10. Cost of the camp is $55 which includes a Skylight bag, T-shirt, snacks and awards. Campers entering grades K-3 will meet from 9 to 11 a.m., while campers entering grades 4-5 will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. The Skylight Middle School Camp is set for June 21-24. The camp is open to girls entering grades 6-8. Cost of the camp is $270 which includes dorm and all meals. For day campers with meals, the cost is $225, and for day campers with no meals the cost is $150. The Skylight Team and Individual Camp will take place June 26-28. The camp is open to girls entering grades 9-12. The cost for day campers with meals is $140, and the cost for day campers with no meals is $110. Blue Pony Girls Hoop Camps

Havre High head coach Dustin Kraske is offering three summer basketball camps this year. There will be a camp for grades 2-5 from 9 to 11 a.m. each day June 4-6 at the HHS gymnasium. Cost of that camp is $50. The middle school and high school camps will run June 15-18 at HHS. Grades 6-8 will cost $60 per camper and grades 9-12 will cost $70 per camper. Havre High Boys Hoop Camps

Havre High head boys basketball coach Curt Leeds is offering two hoops camps this summer. Both camps run June 8-11 at HHS. The camp for grades 1-6 will be $40 per camper, while the camp for grades 7-12 will cost $60 per camper. Registration forms can be picked up at the athletic offices at Havre High School.

Blue Pony Volleyball Camp

New Havre head coach Tamecia Jarvis will be holding Blue Pony Volleyball Camp July 20-24 at HHS. The Kids Camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day and is open to grades 5-8 at a cost of $40. The High School Camp will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. and is open to grades 9-12 at a cost of $50 per camper. Registration forms can be picked up at the Havre High Athletic Office.

MSU-Northern Wrestling Clinics

Northern head coach Tyson Thivierge will hold two wrestling technique clinics. The first will be May 16-17 and the second will be May 23-24. Clinics will cover a variety of techniques and are open to grapplers ages 6-18. Cost is $100 per wrestler. To register, visit http://www.msun.edu/athletics.

Havre Tennis Camp

Havre High head tennis coach George Ferguson will once again be putting on his annual Havre Tennis Camp Aug. 10-11 at the Bill Vaughey Memorial Tennis Courts. The camp will run from noon to 3:30 p.m. each day and is open to boys and girls grades 3-12. Cost is $15 per camper and $10 for each additional sibling. Skylight Volleyball Camps

Northern head coach Bill Huebsch will host two summer volleyball camps. The Skylight Kids Camp is slated for July 30-Aug 1 and is open to grades 5-8 at a cost of $70. The Skylight High School Camp will run Aug. 3-5 and is open to grades 9-12. Campers who choose to have a dorm and meals will pay $200, while day campers with meals are $175 and day campers without meals are $125. The Lights Shooting Camp will run June 13-16 and is open to grades 6-8 at a cost of $115 with no meals, $175 for meals and $215 for meals and lodging. The Lights individual Skills Camp will run June 17-18 for grades 9-12. Cost is $100 without meals, $125 with meals and $140 for meals and lodging.
