The graduation ceremony for the 5th Session of the Aaniiih Nakoda College Developing Montana and North Dakota Workforce - DeMaND - Project Commercial Driver's License Training was held May 20 in the Returning Buffalo building.

Ten students completed their CDL training, and passed the state of Montana CDL testing. Two more students will complete their testing in mid-June.

The CDL students and their family and friends were invited to celebrate their accomplishments. The students who have completed their CDL Testing are: Adam Castillo, Neil Cole, Randall Haskan, Ira Healy, Chance Stiffarm, Colton Stiffarm, Jordan Werk, Billy Yellow Owl, Melvin Billy, and Donna Brown. Those who will complete in June are Jay Ball and Greg Sears.

Deb Eve, DeMaND Project director congratulated the students on their accomplishment.

"The Commercial Driver's Licensing Program has graduated five sets of graduates," Eve said. "The DeMaND funding for the program is coming to an end. We hope to work with other tribal and funding entities to keep the CDL program going. We have had great success and the jobs are out there."
