The following cases were resolved in Hill County Justice Court by Judge Audrey Barger in August.

Riley Scott Harwood, born in 1993, had a charge criminal child endangerment denied by a higher court to which it was being transferred.

Kane Phillip Small, born in 1984, was fined $50 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended for disorderly conduct.

Gilberta R. Belgarde, born in 1969, was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

James Dean Mitchell, born in 1968, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense. In a later case, Mitchell was fined $500 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 345 days suspended and 20 credited, for fleeing from or eluding a peace officer; was fined $350 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense; and was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 176 days suspended and four credited, for driving without a valid driver’s license.

Janessa J. Cline, born in 1981, was fined $50 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for unlawful transactions with children, first violation.

Keenan Blackbird, born in 1997, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for driving without a valid driver’s license.

Shawna Faye Daychild, born in 1991, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for operating a vehicle without liability insurance in effect, first offense.

Christopher Paul Parisian, born in 1982, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 174 days suspended and four credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Robert Douglas Cornett Jr., born in 1982, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for negligent endangerment, amended from driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense.

Edna Fay Miller, born in 1934, was fined $400 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 165 days suspended, for driving without a valid driver’s license.

——

Trea Lynn Nault, born in 1983, was fined $50 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 176 days suspended and two credited, for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.

Chase Austin Thurston, born in 1995, was found not guilty of operating a vehicle with obscured/tinted rear lights and of operating a vehicle with license plates obscured to view.

Larry Lee Lucke, born in 1958, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for driving without a valid driver’s license, amended from driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Glenn Scott Patterson, born in 1960, was sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days credited, for failure to disperse, to or more people engaged in disorderly conduct. In a later case, Patterson was sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days credited, for disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 180 days in jail, 148 days suspended and 32 credited, for resisting arrest. In a subsequent case, Patterson was sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days credited, for disorderly conduct; was sentenced to 180 days in jail, 138 days suspended and 42 credited, for theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, third or subsequent offense; and pleaded guilty to a second count of theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, third or subsequent offense, no fine or sentence listed.

Elizabeth June Anderson, born in 1988, forfeited $250 bond for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, first offense.

D’armon Lael Trahant, born in 1967, was fined $5,000 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 335 days suspended and three credited, for DUI, third offense, and was fined $100 for unlawful possession of open alcoholic beverage in vehicle on highway.

Rick Douglas Green Sky, born in 1957, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 170 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Gaven L. Harrison, born in 1991, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, 174 days suspended and six credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Jahmel Halabi, born in 1975, forfeited $250 bond for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

A girl born in 1997 was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for driving without a valid driver’s license, has never possessed one.

Melissa Mary Sutherland, born in 1972, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $100 for theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, first offense.

Philip Lambert Grandone, born in 1957, forfeited $250 bond for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

——

Jeremy Jacob Hofman, born in 1986, forfeited $175 bond for exceeding 34,000 pounds tandem axle weight limit.

Barbara Fisk Johnson, born in 1943, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 150 days suspended, for theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, second offense.

Keenan Lewis Doney, no date of birth provided, was fined $100 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 357 days suspended and eight credited, for partner or family member assault, causing injury.

Heather Rose Cochran, born in 1988, was fined $1,500, ordered to pay $22.14 restitution and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 120 days suspended, for theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, third or subsequent offense, and was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 177 days suspended and three credited, for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Maggie Arkinson, born in 1988, was fined $50, ordered to pay $18.49 restitution and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for theft obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, first offense. In a later case, Arkinson was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, first offense.

Timothy James Schwartzkopf, born in 1989, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for driving without a valid driver’s license.

Melani Antoinette Bragg, born in 1992, was fined $350 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, second offense.

Bernida Louise Denny, born in 1989, was fined $400 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, third or subsequent offense.

Elliott James The Boy, born in 1985, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, 176 days suspended and four credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked and was sentenced to 180 days in jail, 160 days suspended, for fleeing from or eluding a peace officer.

Mark Leon Skinner, born in 1963, forfeited $625 bond for no driver shall use alcohol or be under the influence of alcohol within four hours of going on duty, nor possess.

David Ray Young, born in 1960, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Sharlie Patricia Walter, born in 1987, was fined $50 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for obstructing justice.

Tialisa Lynn Lucas, born in 1993, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for leaving the scene of an accident, resulting in property damage over $1,000, without permission from law enforcement and was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $100 for false reports to law enforcement authorities.

Jacinda Four Colors, born in 1996, forfeited $250 bond for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance.

Virgil Lee Simonson, born in 1960, was fined $100 for failing to follow conditions and requirements of special permit.

Jay A. Lester, born in 1967, forfeited $100 bond for driving log not being current.

——

Jodee Ray Demontiney, born in 1996, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for driving without a valid driver’s license.

——

Frederick George Hoshal, born in 1954, forfeited $100 bond for not being in possession of seven previous days’ driving logs.

——

Everson Mosquito, born in 1993, was fined $50 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 175 days suspended and three credited, for violation of a no contact order.

——

Kelsey Dustyscott Standingrock, born in 1994, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Kristopher Brian Cote, born in 1988, forfeited $250 bond for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

——

Kylee Nicole Kaul, born in 1995, was fined $150 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Paulette May Standingrock, born in 1974, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Tony Adam Allderdice, born in 1988, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked and was fined $200 and sentenced to 20 days in jail, 10 days suspended and two credited, for failing to stop and identify self after striking an unattended vehicle.

Jonathan Wade Stump, born in 1983, was sentenced to 180 days in jail for theft, obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property, third or subsequent offense.

Devon Lee Dillon, born in 1995, was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for driving without a valid driver’s license, has never possessed one, and was fined $600 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 177 days suspended and one credited, for DUI, first offense.

In August, Judge Barger also dealt with 81 tickets resulting in fines of less than $100 or jail sentences of fewer than seven days, and she or the prosecution dismissed 22 charges. Barger transferred 26 citations to another court, issued 11 search warrants and held 17 probable cause hearings for cases out of her jurisdiction. Additionally, four suspended sentences or deferred impositions of sentencing were revoked and reinstated, one was voided by the ticketing agency and six probation and parole violations went before the judge.
