Collegiate Stockrowers set meet-n-greet

The  Montana State University-Northern Collegiate Stockgrowers Club will host their third annual Meet-N-Greet this Saturday in Northern’s Student Union Building Ballroom.

Mary Heller, director of Northern’s Career Center and and an advisor to the collegiate stockgrowers, said the event is fast becoming a local tradition.

“I think the event will be bigger than it was last year,” Heller said. “We just seem to be growing.”

The Meet-N-Greet will start at 5 p.m with an open-bar social hour. At 6 p.m a prime rib dinner will be served.

Heller said Lane Nordlund, farm broadcaster with the Northern Ag Network, will be the featured speaker. There will also be live and silent auctions, items raffled off and live music provided by the Milk River Band.

Admission is $10 at the door.

Heller said all proceeds from the auction and admission will go to the MSU-Northern Collegiate Stockgrowers Club.

The gathering will coincide with the North Central Stockgrowers Association annual meeting which will take place on campus in Hensler Auditorium at 1 pm. Issues in the agriculture industry will be discussed and new board members elected.
