Thanks from the Scouts

There have been many individuals, families, businesses, organizations and other groups in and around Havre and along the Hi-Line that have been very supportive of Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and in conjunction with the annual Scout Week, we would like to take this time to say “Thank you” on behalf of Boy Scout Troop 1438.

Every Scout unit has a charter organization, and we would like to thank First Lutheran Church for being our charter organization and all that they do for us. Their support is imperative to our success. We would also like to thank the Knights of Columbus for allowing us to help at their fair booth and Triangle Communications for allowing us to continue to deliver their phone books each spring.

Additional thanks go to the following Havre churches for assisting scouting units in Havre; Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Jude Thaddeus Church, The Community Alliance Church, Fifth Avenue Christian Church and Messiah Lutheran Church.

We also are very much appreciative of the outstanding support and coverage of scouting in Havre by The Havre Daily News. Another thank-you goes to Mayor Tim Solomon, and the Havre City Council for their Proclamation declaring this Scout Week in Havre.

Last but not least, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your support of scouting in Havre. This would include the purchasing of Boy Scout popcorn, opportunities for Eagle Scout projects and donations to our annual Investment in Character and Leadership fund drive. All-around community support is essential for a successful scouting program, and we are very thankful and appreciative for the support we have received from Havre and the Hi-Line.

If you know someone who is interested in joining or assisting in any capacity, please contact us. Thank you!
