Officers investigated after an Oak Drive caller reported Wednesday at 5:08 p.m. that they caught a kid stealing from the garage.

Officers investigated after a Third Street caller reported today at 12:02 a.m. that a motor vehicle crash had happened in which the airbag was deployed.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Timothy Allan Bailey of Big Sandy, 36, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant Wednesday at 11:44 a.m. at the Hill County Detention Center.

Marvin Lee Cure of Box Elder, 39, was arrested on a state District Court warrant Wednesday at 3:53 p.m. in the Hill County courthouse.

Deputies investigated Wednesday at 8:10 p.m. a woman who was violating a tribal temporary restraining order.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Wednesday and one today.

Fire crews responded Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. to the 500 Block of Fifth Avenue where someone reported that the lights in the residence were dimming. The problem was heater related and the necessary maintenance service was performed.

Fire crews responded Wednesday at 1:59 p.m. to the 1200 Block of 11th Street North where a loud explosion was reported. Firefighters found downed power line in the street. They stood by as NorthWestern Energy repaired the line.

Fire crews responded Wednesday at 3:51 p.m. to the 1200 Block of First Avenue where a fire alarm was activated. The area was evacuated and sweeped and it was determined the alarm was falsely activated.

Fire crews responded Wednesday at 4:36 p..m to the 1400 Block of 34th Avenue where someone reported that an “arching pole” had lit a tree on fire. Firefighter inspected the area and were unable to find anything arching nor a tree on fire. No further action was necessary.

Fire crews responded Wednesday at 6:52 p.m. to the 1400 Block of Third Street where a wire was reported to be down. The wire was a cable line, which was removed out of the way.

Havre Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held this morning two medium-haired and one short-haired cats.

The animal shelter held this morning a female pit bull terrier, a male shepherd-Rottweiler mix, a male shepherd, a female border collie, a male Labrador retriever-shepherd, a female Chihuahua, a male husky-border collie mix and a male shepherd.

Births

Twin girls were born Monday, September 18, 2017, to Eli and Nancy Salapich of Havre.

A boy was born Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, to Mark and Esther Stahl of Gildford.

A girl was born Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, to Ryan and Mandy Fladager of Peerless.
