Fire crews responded to a gas leak call Thursday at 2 p.m. on the 400 Block of Second Avenue. A valve had kicked on and NorthWestern Energy was called to fix the leak. No injuries were reported.

Fire crews responded to a fire alarm that was activated by burning food Thursday at 8:30 p.m. on the 800 Block of Fourth Street.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held five medium-hair cats whose sex is listed as “unknown,” three medium-hair male cats, one long-hair male cat, two medium-hair female cat, and two female short-hair cats.

The shelter held this morning a 1-year-old female dachshund-Labrador retriever cross, a 16-week old male border collie, a 4-year-old female German shepherd-Labrador retriever cross, a 4-year-old female pit bull terrier, a 6-week-old female husky-shepherd mix, a 1-year-2-month-old male Labrador retriever-Boston terrier cross, and a 1-year-old male pit bull terrier.
