Havre Police Department

A caller on the south end of Fifth Avenue reported hitting a deer Tuesday at 7:22 a.m.

Racso James Birdtail of Great Falls, 22, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants on Jefferson Avenue after police investigated a suspicious 911 hangup at 8:13 a.m. Tuesday.

A caller on Jefferson Avenue at 1:11 p.m. Tuesday reported the theft of a pink roping dummy.

Brandon Wallace Beck of Hogeland, 24, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and on a charge of possession drug paraphernalia, during a vehicle stop on Sixth Avenue at 4:47 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller reported at 7:39 a.m. Tuesday hitting a deer on Ninth Street West.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Tuesday.

Firefighters responded to a call for a stove top grease fire on the 3400 Block of Highway 2 East Tuesday at 7:02 p.m. The stove top had melted, but the house sustained no major damage.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held two medium-hair cats, one short-hair cat and one long-hair cat of unknown gender and one short-hair female cat.

The Havre shelter this morning also held a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler-border collie dog, a female Shih Tzu dog, a male American bulldog, a female mixed-breed dog, a male German shepherd 6-month-old puppy, a male mixed-breed 6-month-old puppy, a female Labrador retriever 26-week-old puppy, a female Anatolian shepherd/husky 9-month-old puppy and a male shepherd-Chow Chow dog.
