Havre Police Department

Richard Lee Sutherland of Box Elder, 34, was arrested on a probation violation charge after a caller on First Street West reported at 12:49 p.m. Tuesday that a man walking along the street was throwing beer cans at cars.

Tuesday at 2:57 p.m. a caller on Fourth Street reported an identity theft.

Kurt Allan Eagleman of Havre, 39, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphenalia after a caller with probation and parole reported from Ninth Avenue Tuesday at 5:07 p.m. finding paraphernalia.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller on U.S. Highway 2 West reported Tuesday at 7:08 a.m. that property was stolen of some grain bins.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to six calls Tuesday and two early this morning.

Firefighters were called to the 3100 Block of U.S. Highway 2 West to look into a gas smell. The HFD crew detected a gas leak in a line going to the building and remained on scene until NorthWestern Energy arrived to make repairs.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held two medium-hair cats, one long-hair 8-month-old kitten and two long-hair 6-month-old kittens of unknown gender, one medium-hair female cat and six medium-hair male cats, as well as four cats for its trap-spay/neuter-release program.

The Havre shelter also held this morning a male American bulldog, three female mixed-breed dogs, a female Labrador retriever dog, a male shepherd dog, a female Anatolian shepherd/husky 10-month-old puppy and a male pit bull-Labrador 9-month-old puppy.
