Salvation Army, Helping Haven look for winter items

Two local nonprofit thrift stores are looking for winter clothes to help people deal with cold, snowy weather like what the region already has been seeing

The Havre Salvation Army thrift store and Havre’s Helping Haven are looking for donations of winter coats, snow pants, snow boots and a number of other items for the winter months.

“There is a big need,” Helping Haven Manager Jill Miller said.

The Helping Haven and the Salvation Army both rely on donations from the community, reusing the items and reselling them at a reduced cost for customers.
