Burns receives Northern Montana Health Care Awards "C.A.R.E." Award

Northern Montana Health Care presented the C.A.R.E. - Compassionately Achieving Remarkable Excellence - Award to Kendra Burns, RN, a member of the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department Team at NMHC last week.

Burns was nominated for this honor by one of her co-workers. Her nominator complimented Burns on her professionalism.

"Kendra always remains professional and positive to her patients and co-workers. Many patients have reached out to give her kudos for her care," said the nominator.

"Kendra is constantly looking at ways to improve our processes and protocols," said Amy Jones, RN, director of ICU/ED. "She is always looking for additional projects to work on and keeps our department running smoothly."

As part of the presentation of the C.A.R.E. Award, Burns was presented with a special logoed jacket. Nominations are now being sought for the next recipient.

Customer service is important to Northern Montana Health Care. "Being the health care provider of choice" is part of their mission statement. Taking the time to recognize excellence in their employees is one of the ways they try to achieve this goal.

The "C.A.R.E." Award was started as part of NMHC's Customer Service Group, "The High Five Club." The purpose of this bi-monthly recognition award is to acknowledge employees who have served at NMHC in an exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding service through his or her work, and consistently exhibiting a positive and supportive attitude. Employees at NMHC nominate their fellow employees for this award.
