Havre Police Department

Russell James Houle Jr. of Havre, 42, was issued a summons on a shoplifting charge after a caller reported Friday at 9:07 a.m. that a person who had shoplifted the previous day was at the entrance to the building.

A sexual or violent offender registry violation was reported at the police station Friday at 12:24 p.m.

A stolen wallet was reported in the Havre area at 1:11 p.m. Friday.

A bad check was reported Friday at 3:17 p.m. at a First Street West business.

A Friday 3:47 p.m. caller asked officers to perform a welfare check on a man on 16th Street.

A caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported Friday at 5:24 p.m. that he rear-ended a vehicle.

--

A two-vehicle crash was reported at 7:15 p.m. Friday on Rich Street West.

Kristopher Franklin Mckelvy of Havre, 41, was issued a summons on a criminal contempt charge related to 24/7 Sobriety Program no-show reported at the police station at 8 p.m. Friday.

A break-in on Ninth Street was reported at 1:17 a.m. Saturday.

A stolen guitar was reported on Second Street Sunday at 6:27 a.m.

Erick Xavier Muniz of Havre, 29, was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault and driving under the influence, and Margret Rose Nagel of Havre, 25, was arrested n charges of negligent endangerment, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and resisting arrest after a caller reported Saturday at 7:14 a.m. being assaulted.

An investigation was made related to a 7:25 a.m. Saturday vehicle stop on Ninth Street.

A Seventh Avenue caller reported Saturday at 10:27 a.m. that someone tried to get into an outdoor freezer.

A hit and run crash was reported at a First Street business Saturday at 12:41 p.m.

Dillon Jon Cornell of Turner, 29, was arrested on a DUI charge after a caller at a First Street establishment reported a person slumped over in a vehicle at 4:32 a.m. Sunday.

A juvenile at the skate park reported Sunday at 12:27 p.m. that people were trying to fight the caller's sibling and at 5:29 p.m. officers responding to a Sixth Street disturbance involving four to five juveniles issued a written or verbal warning.

A caller reported Sunday at 1:08 p.m. that Rocky Boy Ambulance was transporting to the hospital a man with a possible broken jaw related to an assault in Havre the previous night.

A summons was issued after a caller on Second Street reported Sunday 4:30 p.m. he was transporting a juvenile who was bitten by a dog to the hospital. no details on the charges were provided.

Officers investigated after a Third Street caller reported a juvenile was beating up a family member Sunday at 5:12 p.m.

Karin Parker Sunchild of Havre, 53, was issued a summons on two assault charges after a Sunday 7:25 p.m. caller on First Street reported two women had been fighting.

Roman Ross Surber of Havre, 30, was arrested on charges of DUI, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and resisting arrest after a caller at a First Street West establishment reported at 12:58 a.m. today that a customer left without paying.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies were called Friday at 2:20 p.m. to assist someone on Fifth Avenue North.

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported in Rudyard Sunday at 1:42 p.m.

Darrin Dean Longfox Jr. of Hays, 26, was arrested on charges of trespass to property, resisting arrest and partner or family member assault after a domestic disturbance was reported on U.S. Highway 2 East Sunday at 8:49 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Friday, seven calls Saturday and one call early this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat of unknown gender, four male cats, two female kittens, three female cats and two male kittens, along with one 7-month-old and one 21-week-old kittens in the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held six mixed-breed puppies, a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler, a female mixed-breed dog, a female 6-month-old German shepherd, a male pit bull-Labrador-cross and a male German shepherd. Additionally, a male mixed-breed dog was being fostered, and eight 11-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately.

Births

A boy was born Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, to Lexy Blackcrow and Walter Crantz of Fort Belknap.
