Havre Police Department

A Second Street caller reported Thursday at 8:26 a.m. that a bike was stolen.

Officers investigated a vehicle crash reported on Third Avenue Thursday at 10:47 a.m.

Joseph Don Wetsit of Havre, 28, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants and a charge of partner or family member assault after a caller on Eighth Street reported a domestic disturbance at 11:41 a.m. Thursday.

Jason Lee Berger of Havre, 39, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after a Thursday 1:37 p.m. report at the police station a sexual or violent offender registry offense.

--

A man was reported Thursday 2:34 p.m. in a Third Avenue business cussing at employees.

--

A summons was issued after a hit and run crash was reported Thursday at 3:14 at Wilson Avenue and 10th Street West.

--

Bank Fraud was reported in the Havre area Thursday at 3:38 p.m.

--

Officers assisted Thursday 6:17 p.m. at a house fire on Fourth Avenue.

Kylie Jade Walker of Havre, 20, was issued a summons on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program no-show at the police station Thursday at 10:25 p.m.

Neal Wayne Anderson of Havre, 64, was arrested on charges of trespass to property and on a Justice or City court warrant after a Ninth Avenue caller reported at 12:08 a.m. today that a man punched the door and walked into the residence.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Two arrests were made or summonses issued after an assault was reported at Box Elder School Thursday at 1:23 p.m.

Tayleigh Rose Sunchild-Jones of Box Elder, 18, was issued a summons on an underage tobacco possession or consumption charge after a juvenile status offense was reported at Box Elder School Thursday at 2:39 p.m.

Trajon Ramone Gopher, a 25-year-old homeless man in Montana was arrested on a state District Court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Thursday at 3:20 p.m.

--

A caller reported seeing a stolen vehicle near U.S. Highway 2 East and 24th Avenue East Thursday at 7:32 p.m.

--

A Fifth Street North caller asked at 3:09 a.m. today for assistance.

Havre Fire Department

Havre Fire Department responded with firefighters and an ambulance crew to a kitchen fire on the 500 Block of Fourth Avenue. Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said the fire caused significant damage to the kitchen and the bedrooms of the residence and smoke damage throughout the three apartments of the structure. Four people were treated, but not transported to the hospital. Five people were displaced, he added, but the landlord put everyone up in hotel rooms for the night and would be meeting with the insurance representatives today.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three cats of unknown gender, seven male cats and two female cats.

The shelter also held five mixed-breed puppies ages 7 to 11 months, three male and one female mixed-breed dogs, a female shepherd-cross, a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler, a male pit bull terrier and 11 10-week-old mixed-breed puppies. Additionally, seven 12-week-old puppies and a male dog, all of mixed-breeding, were being housed off-site.
