Havre Police Department

A summons was issued after a caller at a First Street business reported a theft Monday at 4:14 p.m. No details on charges were provided.

Officers investigated a disturbance after a caller at 4:40 a.m. today reported getting a call from a family member on 10th Avenue and hearing arguing in the background.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Michael Paul Russette of Box Elder, 34, and Louis W. Russette Jr. of Box Elder, 25, were each arrested on two Justice or City court warrants served after a 2:10 p.m. Monday report of trespassers at a Box Elder establishment.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to four calls Monday.

Firefighters responded to two calls, one a gas odor reported Monday at 11:21 a.m. on the 1700 Block of Highway 2 West where no leak was detected, and the other Monday at 7:19 p.m. requiring an alarm reset on the 800 Block of Fourth Street.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held seven male cats and three female cats, and five cats are being held for the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held two male and one female mixed-breed dogs, a female dachshund, a female Australian cattle dog-blue heeler, a male pit bull terrier, two mixed-breed puppies ages 7 and 11 months, and 10 10-week-old mixed-breed puppies. Additionally, seven 12-week-old puppies, a female 10-week-old puppy and a male dog, all of mixed-breeding, were being housed off-site.
