Project delays and coming events discussed by Fair Board

The Great Northern Fair Board announced at its monthly meeting Tuesday evening that its project to replace the fairgrounds’ western bathrooms will not be finished in time for this year’s fair, despite their hopes to the contrary.
Board Chair Michelle Burchard said the estimate for the project came in around $450,000, which was far more than expected and much more than the fair can afford at the moment.
Burchard said they are currently about $200,000 short, but they are hoping to hold some fundraisers for the project and hopefully make up the difference in time to get the project done...
