Havre Police Department

A Fifth Street caller reported Tuesday at 12:08 p.m. being threatened and intimidated.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Noah Dean Sutherland of Box Elder, 33, was arrested on state District Court warrant and a Justice or City court warrant, both served after an 11:07 a.m. Tuesday transport to Hill County Detention Center from Rocky Boy Detention Center.

A caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business asked Tuesday at 3:51 p.m. for assistance.

Montana Highway Patrol

Troopers were called Tuesday at 5:44 a.m. to a vehicle crash with an injury on U.S. Highway 2 near mile marker 334 midway between Inverness and Joplin. No further details were made available by print deadline.

Troopers were called Tuesday at 5:34 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash with one injury on U.S. Highway 2 at mile marker 409 between Chinook and Zurich. Trooper Dan Ohl said the eastbound vehicle drifted off the right side of the road and became airborne after hitting an approach. The vehicle landed on its wheels, sustaining damage to the undercarriage and injuring the driver. The driver, the only vehicle occupant, was transported to Northern Montana Hospital. The crash is still under investigation, Ohl said, but neither alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

Emergency medical technicians responded to five calls Tuesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat and one 5-week-old kitten, both of unknown gender, six male cats and five female cats.

The shelter also held eight mixed-breed dogs, a male 17-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull terrier, a 16-week-old shepherd, a male Labrador retriever and a male cattle dog. Additionally, a male mixed-breed dog was being housed off-site.
