Ag social media workshops set in Chester, Havre

Business owners, including agricultural, are invited to participate in a free business marketing workshop held in Chester Tuesday and Havre Wednesday.

The two-part workshop will start with “Social Media: Beyond the Basics” from 9 a.m. to noon, covering social media formats and how to tell if social media efforts are effective and efficient, along with advanced techniques for getting the most from social media channels for business.

“Get Your Ag Business Online” will have three one-hour sessions in the afternoon with “Create a Google business profile and managing your business information” starting at 1 p.m.; “Make your website work for you” at 2 p.m.; and “Use YouTube to grow your business” at 3 p.m.

Participants will be told the location of the Chester workshop when they pre-register. The Havre workshop will be held at Best Western Inn & Suites, 1425 Highway 2 Northwest.

Lunch will be provided for all participants.

Put on by the Havre Food and Agriculture Development Network and the Small Business Development Center, all sessions will be presented by Miranda Gilbert, owner of Geek Girl LLC in Billings.
